Mail service to and from the City of Stratford will be interrupted or delayed as a result of the Canada Post strike.
MAIL FROM THE CITY OF STRATFORD:
If you are expecting a payment from the City of Stratford and do NOT have Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) set up, your cheque will be processed in regular fashion and will be available for pickup at the main floor reception desk at City Hall (1 Wellington Street) on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
We will hold any cheques that have not been picked up on Wednesday until mail service resumes. Ontario Works:
For City of Stratford Social Services clients who receive Ontario Works cheques by mail, we will be reaching out shortly to make arrangements for those cheques to be available at the Social Services office at 82 Erie Street for pickup.

If you normally pay your property taxes or other City invoices by mail, please consider alternative payment options if a strike occurs:
In person:
Payments can be made in person at City Hall (1 Wellington Street) during regular business hours – Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
A secure drop box is also available at the back (Market Square) entrance of City Hall.
Internet banking:
Property taxes can be paid online through your financial institution.
Telephone:
Parking tickets can be paid in person at City Hall, or by phone with a credit card at 519-271-0250 extension 5230 during business hours.
